Preventing Matting
To keep your dog’s coat healthy and avoid additional charges:

Regular brushing at home is essential (we can recommend the best brushes for your dog’s coat).

Professional grooming every 4–6 weeks, depending on coat type.

Checking for knots, especially in friction areas (behind ears, armpits, legs).
De-Matting Charges
If your dog has moderate matting, an additional £10 will be added to the grooming price. For dogs with severe matting, an additional £20 will apply.
In cases of severe matting, it may be necessary to shave the affected areas rather than attempt de-matting. This approach is often the kindest and safest option for your pet’s comfort and wellbeing. If shaving is required, we will always discuss this with you beforehand to ensure you’re fully informed.
